IMMERSE YOURSELF IN SUCCESS
It has often been said that the best way to learn a new language is to totally immerse yourself in that language and culture. Many people do this by visiting the country native to the new language they are trying to learn. Immersion in your new language involves reading, speaking, thinking, listening, and studying the language.
Many years ago when I wanted to learn Spanish, I did all of the above except for actually visiting Spain. I listened to tapes and CD’s every chance I got. I read books and watched movies that were in Spanish and I even enlisted the help of a friend who spoke Spanish fluently. She and I would converse on the phone for hours with the only rule being I was not allowed to speak any English.
These activities plus the burning desire to be bilingual allowed me the opportunity to be able to speak better Spanish than many people I knew who had took the language in school for years.
Learning and achieving success in your life can be accomplished by using the very same techniques of immersion. The first key to success involves your motivation to become successful in the first place. You must have a burning desire within you to persist until you have reached your desired results.
Take the time to read books on success, listen to CD’s, watch programs, and attend seminars which focus on achieving success. Be sure to surround yourself with other successful people who have already achieved great success in their lives and commit to only speaking about success rather than failure.
I can assure you that if you are willing to do these simple things to immerse yourself in success, it won’t be long before you are living and speaking the language of success fluently.
