ARE YOU READY TO SPEAK TO YOUR MONEY?

A budget is one of the best financial planning tools available to anyone. It doesn't matter whether you earn $15,000 a year or $150,000 a year. The fact still remains that it is extremely important for you to know how much you have to spend and where you are spending it.

A house builder would never think of starting to build a home without a blueprint and plan, and you shouldn't spend your money without a plan first. Budgeting is about planning, and a well thought out plan is simply a means to achieve a desired result.

When you take the time to budget, you are essentially communicating to your money how you want it to be spent or invested. Budgeting doesn't have to be the difficult task that most people make it out to be. In fact, I am a firm believer in the KISS rule (Keep It Short and Simple). The simpler it is, the more likely you will actually do it.

Start with 10 simple money categories: Giving, Saving, Rent/Mortgage, Utilities, Food, Transportation, Clothing, Entertainment, Debt Payoff, and Miscellaneous. For any given pay period assign every dollar you earn to one of these categories. I promise you that if you can commit to doing this for just four weeks, you will notice a change in your financial lifestyle worth bragging about.

Luke 14:28-30

For which of you, intending to build a tower, does not sit down first and count the cost, whether he may have enough to finish it; lest perhaps, after he has laid the foundation and is not able to finish, all those seeing begin to mock him, saying, This man began to build and was not able to finish.

Wishing you all the success in the world.
