BECOME AN UNBELIEVER

In the world of athletics, it was once “believed” that it was physically impossible for any human being to run a mile in under 4 minutes. No one was able to do it, that is until one day an unbeliever by the name of Roger Bannister broke the 4 minute mile barrier in 1954 by actually running a mile in under 4 minutes.

Since then, countless of athletes have broken the four minute barrier and even surpassed it. In fact, it is now the standard of all middle distance runners. So the only question I want to ask is whether Roger Bannister had some super ability that others before him didn’t possess? I would have to venture to say YES...the super ability that he possessed was the power of unbelief. He chose NOT to believe that it was impossible, like so many other athletes before him had done. Until him, no one believed that it could be done.

The majority of people on this planet have mistakenly convinced themselves that they are incapable of achieving great goals in their lives, and as a result, they aim low by default, and in some instances, not at all. Never really believing they can achieve great things, they never even bother trying in the first place.

What false beliefs are you holding on to right now? What false beliefs are keeping you from reaching your goals and full potential in your life? Many times the only limitations between you and your goals are the ones you place on them. I want to challenge you to become an unbeliever today and begin to realize that you can achieve anything in life that you put your mind to.
