Quitting smoking is simply a matter of learning a new technology

You learned how to smoke; now you can learn how to quit
You don’t need willpower to quit smoking aren’t you glad.

It takes 21 days to change a habit permanently and that is why cold turkey
doesn’t work that well.

It’s like learning a new technology.

1. When you learned how to drive a car
You learned the rules of the road

Who goes first at a 4 way stop

Who has the right of way

  In Nicotine Solutions

You learn how to deal with stress
   How to deal with emotions
How to regulate my blood sugar level

2. When I learned how to drive a car

I practiced driving with someone else because

I needed to practice parallel parking and it time to

learn how to drive a car.

When  you learn how to stop smoking you

practice What to do with your hands
What to do 1st thing in AM
               Last thing at night
What to do after a meal
               and you practice smoking differently

3. THEN THE DAY CAME . . .
When I drive a car all by myself and
I had to remember every thing that I learned in drivers’ education.

Driving seemed unnatural and overwhelming and it did not
seem like it would ever be natural to drive a car.

After a while driving it was so automatic that
some times I would forget how I got there!!

WHEN I STOPPED SMOKING..

I had to remember every thing that I learned about stopping smoking
at first it didn’t ever seem like it would ever be natural and
normal to be a non-smoker, but just like learning to drive,
I became an automatic, natural non-smoker!
