This episode of the Code Red! radio show features Commissioner Bruce Lockwood, CEM, with the National Commission on Children and Disasters based in Washington, DC.  Mr. Lockwood has over 25 years of direct emergency response coordination experience and he stops by the show to talk about the work of the commission which reports directly to the President of the United States and the U.S. Congress.  Commissioner Lockwood discusses recommendations that the special commission appointed by Congress is working on to help protect children across America before, during and after disasters and critical incidents.

        Later in the broadcast we are joined by author, coach and school violence prevention expert, Derek Randel from Wilmette, IL who visits the show live to talk about reducing incidents of child bullying, school violence and effective parenting techniques.  Mr. Randel also discusses the release of his sixth book, "The Stopping School Violence Manual."
